James VanDerLinde is the owner of Journey Home Inspection Services and a professional home inspector. Before starting Journey, James was an Infantryman, paratrooper, and non- Commissioned officer in the United States Army. After 12 years of dedicated service, he retired in 2020.

He attributes his attention to detail, integrity, and work ethic to his time served in the military which allowed him to grow his small home inspection company into a multi-inspector firm in just 6 short months. Outside of Entrepreneurship, James is a father, APSU student, and avid outdoorsman.

When asked why he chose home inspecting his response was simple. “Meeting new people, a good conversation, and construction are things I really enjoy, and in this field I get all three every day!” His mission is to lead a company that is designed and committed to making the journey of life more enjoyable for everyone it reaches.

Tashina Richardson is the owner of Journey Home Inspection and the office administrator. She is the friendly person you hear on the phone when you are calling in to schedule your home inspection, or when you reach out with any questions. Tashina thrives in the role of helping people and making sure all their concerns are treated with the care they deserve.

Tashina has a background in business, having owned and operated a bakery in Ohio for five years, as well as helping run her family's dairy farm. When she's not working, Tashina will probably be found out at a park with her kids, at a local coffee shop, or curled up at home with a good book.

Tashina's goal is straightforward: treating every home inspection that is scheduled like it is her own and ensuring that the high standards that Journey Home Inspections have are exceeded.

William Boswell is an AHIT Certified home inspector. As a newcomer to the home inspection industry, William brings a fresh perspective and a passion for helping others. Originally from Illinois, William is a husband and father of 3 beautiful daughters and has been a Clarksville resident and local business owner and US Army Vet serving this country for over a decade. With a background as a local gun and gear store owner, William is driven by a desire to look out for the best interests of his clients and ensure they feel confident in their investment decisions.

When asked why he chose home inspecting his response was simple. “My business is centered around customer relations and community. It always bugged me seeing my customers get burned on a purchase. I try my best to do right by my customers and use my knowledge to guide them into making smart decisions that fit their needs. I now get to do this on a much larger scale with home inspection and I am very excited for it.”

His mission is simple: to put forth the utmost effort in every inspection, going the extra mile for each client. He treats every individual with the care and respect of a trusted friend, prioritizing their needs and concerns above all else.

Kyle is a dedicated home inspector with a strong background in real estate and a passion for helping clients make informed decisions. Coming from a family of real estate professionals-both his parents were appraisers-Kyle has been immersed in the industry from a young age. Right out of high-school, he became an appraiser himself. Before becoming a home inspector, he spent over a decade in the service industry, where he developed exceptional customer service skills that now help him communicate clearly and effectively with homeowners and buyers alike. His experience as a technician for seven years in South Florida also gave him a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of home systems.

Now based in Clarksville, TN, Kyle enjoys the balanced work life that home inspection provides, allowing him to be both out in the field and at his desk, ensuring thorough and accurate reports. His approach is methodical, detail-oriented, and always focused on providing clients with honest and comprehensive assessments of their potential homes. His goal is to give homeowners peace of mind, knowing they have all the information they need before making such an important investment.

Outside of work, Kyle is a family man with a young son and another child on the way. He grew up in Florida, where he spent much of his time fishing and playing hockey, passions that have shaped his work ethic and attention to detail. Whether he's inspecting a home or spending time with his family, Kyle brings dedication, integrity, and precision to everything he does.

Heather Benefield-Pugh is an AHIT-certified professional home inspector serving Clarksville and the surrounding communities. She received her training through the American Home Inspectors Training Institute and brings a well-rounded background built on real estate, military service, and logistics operations.

Before becoming a home inspector, Heather spent eight years as a licensed Realtor in the local market, giving her firsthand knowledge of construction trends and what buyers and sellers truly need—clear, accurate information to make confident decisions.

Prior to real estate, Heather proudly served in the United States military as an aviation fueler, including service in combat environments. She credits her military and professional background for her attention to detail, discipline, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, Heather is a wife and mother of seven and enjoys spending time with her family camping, hunting, fishing, and caring for their many pets.

Today, Heather's mission is simple: to deliver every inspection with integrity and to equip her clients with the knowledge and confidence they need when making decisions about their home.

Brandon Milhous is an AHIT Certified Home Inspector, retired U.S. Army Special Operation veteran, and experienced general contractor with a background in roofing. After more than 20 years of military service, he now helps homebuyers and homeowners protect one of their biggest investments through inspections. Brandon’s committed to providing exceptional customer service, honest communication, and meticulous attention to detail with every inspection.

Originally from California, Brandon has proudly called Clarksville, Tennessee, home since returning to the area in 2014. A devoted husband and father of three, he believes in putting people first and serving his community with the same integrity, discipline, and professionalism that defined his military career. He actively supports local nonprofits, schools, and businesses by volunteering and helping others whenever possible.

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his family boating, fishing, hunting, working on vehicles, and tackling home improvement projects. His dedication to service, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence provide every client with the confidence and peace of mind they deserve throughout the home-buying process.

Christopher Thomas is an AHIT-certified Professional Home Inspector and U.S. Navy veteran, with a passion for helping clients make informed decisions about one of life's biggest investments. After serving 10 years in the Navy as an electrician and maintenance leader, Christopher transitioned into home inspections, where his technical expertise, disciplined approach, and attention to detail provide clients with thorough, accurate, and reliable inspections.

Originally from Louisiana, Christopher now proudly serves homebuyers and homeowners throughout Middle Tennessee. His military background instilled the values of integrity, accountability, and professionalism, which continue to guide every inspection he performs. Combined with his experience in real estate, he understands both the technical aspects of a home's condition and the importance of clear communication throughout the buying and selling process.

Ryan Schenk is an AHIT Certified Home Inspector and retired Air Force pilot with a diverse professional background that includes serving in the military, aircraft maintenance, and working as a loan originator. His experience has given him a strong attention to detail, a commitment to integrity, and a practical understanding of homes, property, and the needs of homeowners.

Ryan first called Clarksville, Tennessee, home from 2015 to 2018 while stationed at Ft Campbell as a liaison, and after retirement, happily to returned in 2022. Clarksville has become home once again, and Ryan enjoys being part of the community.

Outside of his professional life, Ryan enjoys staying active with his wife and children through flying, hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. He also enjoys working on projects around the house and spending time working on vehicles. His hands-on approach, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset carry over into his work as a home inspector, where he takes pride in helping clients better understand their homes and make informed decisions.

Cameron Schenk is an AHIT-certified professional home inspector based in Clarksville, TN. Originally from Abilene, Texas, he grew up as a military brat and lived all over the country, from north to south and east to west. Moving so often taught him to adapt quickly and connect with all kinds of people.

Before getting into home inspection, Cameron spent years in roofing, construction, and damage mitigation. That hands-on work taught him how homes are built, how they fail, and what tends to hide behind walls and above ceilings. He brings that experience to every inspection so his clients know exactly what they're buying. After years in the trades, Cameron saw home inspection as the next step in his career, a way to put his hands-on knowledge of how houses are built and how they fail to work for buyers who need someone in their corner. His approach is thorough, honest, and straightforward. He takes the time to walk clients through what he finds, explain what matters and what doesn't, and answer every question along the way. His goal is simple: to give buyers the full picture of a home so they can make a confident decision on one of the biggest purchases of their lives.

Outside of work, Cameron is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, traditional archery, fishing, and camping. A self-described river rat, he's most at home in the woods or on the water, back in the hills or out in a holler. He ties his own flies and stays busy with hands-on projects, like restoring an old boat. His hobbies reflect how he works: he'd rather do things the hard way and do them right than take a shortcut. Above all, he's a devoted father who carries his late daughter's memory with him every day and is now raising his newborn baby girl. Whether he's inspecting a home or out on the river, Cameron brings patience, honesty, and attention to detail to everything he does.

Mandy Cunningham brings over 15 years of executive support and HR experience to the Journey team, having supported C-suite leaders across wealth management, family offices, philanthropy, construction, and education. She loves organization and detail and thrives in roles where she can help others and make their day a little easier. Mandy holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Florida State University, with a double major in Human Resource Management and Multinational Business.

Outside of work, Mandy is usually spending time with her husband, her three sons, and her two daughters-in-law. She's always up for a travel adventure, reading a great book and considers herself a coffee and chocolate aficionado.

Mandy's mission is simple: to bring order, care, and a positive attitude to every task, so that both Journey's clients and the team feel supported every step of the way.
