James VanDerLinde is the owner of Journey Home Inspection Services and a professional home inspector. Before starting Journey, James was an Infantryman, paratrooper, and non- Commissioned officer in the United States Army. After 12 years of dedicated service, he retired in 2020.

He attributes his attention to detail, integrity, and work ethic to his time served in the military which allowed him to grow his small home inspection company into a multi-inspector firm in just 6 short months. Outside of Entrepreneurship, James is a father, APSU student, and avid outdoorsman.

When asked why he chose home inspecting his response was simple. “Meeting new people, a good conversation, and construction are things I really enjoy, and in this field I get all three every day!” His mission is to lead a company that is designed and committed to making the journey of life more enjoyable for everyone it reaches.

Tashina is the co-owner of Journey Home Inspection Services and serves as the COO. She ensures that the Journey machine runs as efficiently and effectively as possible every single day! Even before joining the team, she had experience as an entrepreneur, owning and operating a highly successful bakery in Ohio. Later, she would discover her passion for finances and work in accounting, ultimately leading her back to business ownership where she could let that passion and skillset flourish here at Journey!

She believes that her previous experiences and positions, combined with her upbringing, molded her into the highly successful management professional and entrepreneur she is today. She played an integral part in Journey's rapid success, which has become a multi-inspector firm in just a few short months. In her free time, she loves to read books, travel, garden, and watch romance or mystery movies.

When asked what her favorite part is about running a home inspection company, she said: “I really like the administrative side of it all. I love making the process of buying a home so much easier for our clients. I love helping people — that's what makes me truly happy. And now I get to do that all the time!” She is committed to helping Journey Home Inspection Services fulfill its mission to make people's lives better and leading a company with integrity, purpose, and devotion to serving the Kingdom of God.

Kelli brings a strong background in real estate transaction coordination from her time on a local team in Clarksville. With her attention to detail, she strives to ensure the home inspection process feels effortless for everyone involved. As one agent put it, “Kelli treats each contract as if it were her own and genuinely cares about everyone’s best interests.”

Originally from a rural farming community in Colorado, she grew up with a lasting love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking with her Great Dane, being out on the lake, gardening, or catching a live concert. Indoors, she’s likely to be found with a good book, working on a puzzle, or catching up with friends at a local coffee shop. She’s also a soon-to-be foster parent where she is eager to provide a safe and supportive home for children in need!

Kelli has been in the shoes of both home buyer and seller and is passionate about helping others feel confident in their real estate dreams. She has always been eager to learn new skills, which allows her to adapt and grow in her role. With a commitment to high standards, her ability to quickly problem solve, and a touch of humor, she brings heart and dedication to every step of the journey.

Philip Martinez is an AHIT certified, professional home inspector. Originally from California, Philip moved to Tennessee seven years ago to pursue his career in renovating homes. With his background in custom residential electrical, he brought an unbeatable level of detail and craftsmanship to every home he renovated. That same quality and excellence is in every home that Philip inspects.

Outside of owning his own pressure washing business he loves the outdoors and is the middle child of eleven siblings! Growing up in a large family pushed him to be out of his comfort zone a lot, so Philip is a very easy and outgoing person, and makes friends with everyone.

When asked why he chose home inspecting, he said “My career has been in the construction field my whole life, and making people's dreams a reality has been the best part. So making sure that homeowners are buying the home of their dreams and not their worst nightmare is something I love the most.”

After completing his service in the Army, James found a new calling in the world of fitness and well- being. He pursued his passion by becoming a certified personal trainer, helping individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. This experience further enriched his skill set, emphasizing the importance of precision, client-centric communication, and a keen eye for detail.

Today, James Vollmer brings his diverse background and skill set to the field of home inspection. William Boswell is an AHIT Certified home inspector. As a newcomer to the home inspection industry, William brings a fresh perspective and a passion for helping others. Originally from Illinois, William is a husband and father of 3 beautiful daughters and has been a Clarksville resident and local business owner and US Army Vet serving this country for over a decade. With a background as a local gun and gear store owner, William is driven by a desire to look out for the best interests of his clients and ensure they feel confident in their investment decisions.

When asked why he chose home inspecting his response was simple. “My business is centered around customer relations and community. It always bugged me seeing my customers get burned on a purchase. I try my best to do right by my customers and use my knowledge to guide them into making smart decisions that fit their needs. I now get to do this on a much larger scale with home inspection and I am very excited for it.”

His mission is simple: to put forth the utmost effort in every inspection, going the extra mile for each client. He treats every individual with the care and respect of a trusted friend, prioritizing their needs and concerns above all else.

Kenneth Myers, an AHIT certified home inspector and licensed Realtor, brings a remarkable blend of expertise and dedication to his work. With over a decade serving as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician in the military, Kenneth honed his skills in risk assessment and meticulous attention to detail. His military service equipped him with invaluable experience in identifying and neutralizing various types of explosive hazards, often in high-pressure and challenging environments.

Transitioning to civilian life, Kenneth sought a career where he could continue making a tangible diLerence in people's lives. Partnering with his wife in the real estate industry provided the flexibility needed for their family of four children. However, it was his natural progression into home inspection that truly resonated with his passion for ensuring safety and quality in residential properties.

Kenneth's journey from defusing explosives to inspecting homes is a testament to his unwavering dedication and professionalism. His keen eye for detail, coupled with his deep understanding of the intricacies of residential properties, ensures that every inspection he conducts meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Nick Bilbro is an AHIT certified professional home inspector. Before becoming a home inspector, Nick worked as a furniture builder, which combined his love of craftsmanship and art. Nick is a Clarksville native and returned to the city after a few years away to raise his three daughters. Throughout his life, he has worked in various aspects of the home building process, from construction to renovation, and this experience led him to take the step into a career in professional home inspecting.

Nick believes that his background in construction, woodworking, and art has helped hone his keen eye for detail in home inspecting. He prides himself on delivering excellent and consistent service and education to clients. Outside of home inspecting, Nick enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking and art, and spending time outdoors. He hopes to visit every National Park in the United States one day and has already seen several over the past few years.

When asked why he chose home inspecting, he expressed his passion in assisting homebuyers make an educated decision in one of the most important purchases of their lives. He takes on every inspection as if it were a friend or family member's, and takes pride in providing families confidence when buying a home.
